Honestly, people make this harder than it really is, and I mean it, people would say “Well in College you are supposed to be studying 8 hours, and take perfect notes”, while this is not 100% incorrect is definitely not correct, firstly because you are not required to study 8 hours a day, only if you have many classes, and you need to actually spend those hours, but let’s be real, must people graduate from College by taking 4-5 classes, and studying like 4-5 hours a day.
When taking notes you are not supposed to make it fancy, or have this super organized notebook/binder, or whatever you take your notes in, so in this article It’ll be as simple as it gets.
How Should I Take Notes?
Well, like I said, it does not has to be fancy, everyone has their own style, I will use myself as an example, I usually just write everything that I understand and think that is useful/important, I write everything like if it was a rough draft, that’s how I do it, and then I like to take a few minutes to review my notes, and fix anything that is out of place or something that is unnecessary.
Usually I like to highlight important parts, of course I recommend using different colors to do this, mainly because there could be a lot of different information, and knowing which one you want may be used or reviewed, it just helps to have different colors to differentiate certain things.
The last thing that works for me is using the notes from iPhone, in which I put in things that I can look into fast when I am not using a notebook, I do this so I can have important notes everywhere especially because there are times in which I am not able to use a notebook and so having notes in your phone is great, of course you can use Google Docs or other apps that allows you to have notes saved.
